As I mentioned in my first blog on travelling in South Africa, my home country, we have now travelled to and spent varying times in each of our current 9 provinces.

While listening to the radio a couple of weeks ago I learnt that South Africa had been voted the most beautiful country in the world out of 20 which had been nominated. What a privilege for us to live here.
I cannot believe that it is more than half way through the month of May 2015! That means it is 7 months to the day before we leave on this wonderful trip. It is getting really exciting but there is so much to do.

At the end of my last article I said that we would now spend time looking at the places we plan to visit and decide on what we want to see out of all the wonderful things which can be seen. I have downloaded information on Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Tromsø…

Botswana has 3 main sources of income – tourism, diamonds and animal husbandry.

To reach the border of Botswana with Zambia we had to travel approximately 70kms due west on a beautiful straight tarred road.

We spent a lovely couple of hours walking around the Matobo Hills and seeing the grave of Cecil John Rhodes.
As always, time just flies when one is busy and has a very exciting trip to plan.
