Our 33-day visit to Europe was drawing to a close. We had one more place to see, the Fortress of Sagres (pronounced Sargresh), on the SW tip of the Algarve, Portugal.
After exploring the eastern section of the Algarve yesterday, we drove westwards today.
Today we travelled in an easterly direction to Villa Real de San António and then, across into Spain to the city of Huelva, about 3okms into Spain. (see map at this link)
We started our first day in the Algarve with breakfast at Noèlia’s restaurant and then walked around the town and bay of Cabanas. From there we drove to Tavira.
Today was a day of travel, travel and more travel via taxi, train, aeroplane and car as we travelled from Antwerp in Belgium to Cabanas in the The Algarve, south Portugal.
We spent just one day outside of Lisbon itself and that was to visit the City of Fatima, North of Lisbon.
Just 30 days and then we are up, up and away to Lisbon, Portugal where we will spend a week on the first leg of our 3-month trip.
