After a wonderful morning in Speyer and a coach trip to Worms we cruised to Rudesheim, arriving at 17:00.
Sailing out of Budapest was once again a very beautiful experience, especially moving slowly past the incredibly beautiful and imposing Hungarian Parliament building.
I finished the previous blog by saying that we were unable to visit St Matthias Church and the Medieval District so in this blog I shall tell you of what we were able to admire on the Hill.
In 2014 we stopped overnight in Budapest so saw only a minimal part of the city of 3 towns – Buda, Obuda and Pest, divided by the Danube which forks in the middle of the city.
After months of preparation Wednesday 19 April 2017 finally arrived. We were off on our first River Cruise – on The Danube.
