It was great to know that we would be settled for a while as we would be spending a fortnight with Lyn & Tyrone in Gobabis. During this time we would visit an a big cat farm and drive right across the country to spend a week in Hentjies Bay.

When we arrived at our hotel in Maun around midday to find lots of activity but also the staff and some security staff almost standing to attention around the Reception area.

Botswana has 3 main sources of income – tourism, diamonds and animal husbandry.
To reach the border of Botswana with Zambia we had to travel approximately 70kms due west on a beautiful straight tarred road.
We spent a lovely couple of hours walking around the Matobo Hills and seeing the grave of Cecil John Rhodes.
