There were just 2 ports of call left before we arrived in Sydney, both in French New Caledonia.
We made 3 stops in Fiji – Suva located on the southern edge of Viti Levu Island, Dravuni Island which is directly south of Suva and Lautoka on the northwest corner of Viti Levu. Lautoka is about ⅔ the size of Suva with regard to population.
Never believe that there is nothing to see or do at any place when you travel. It is a time to explore.
After 38 hours of sailing from Apia, S’moa we docked at Suva on the Island of Viti Levu, the largest of the many Fijian Islands, at 07:00.
After 5 days at sea we arrived at the city of Apia, Upolu in Samoa (pronounced S’moa).
Gradually our cruise across the Atlantic Ocean was coming to an end. We were approaching Halifax, Nova Scotia which would be the last port of call until we reached Boston.
After spending a morning in the town of Sydney, Nova Scotia we went on a tour to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in Baddeck.
Is there another Sydney besides the one in Australia? Yes, it is in Nova Scotia and it was our next port of call after 2 sea days sailing from Greenland.
Overnight we sailed from Prins Christian Sund to Qaqortoq on the Greenland West coast.
When making the booking on the Royal Caribbean cruise, I did not know that the part of the cruise to Greenland was a first for this shipping line. What a wonderful experience it was.
